Sacramento, California:
Today Marianne Crosby came by and took Glenn out to go grocery shopping. On the way they passed by the Elks Club and were commenting on how many people were there for a flea market in the parking lot. Glenn is an Elk, so he is always interested in what's going on there.
They were still talking about the flea market, when they turned into the Bel Aire Grocery store parking lot a few blocks later. They pulled up in front of the store, looking for a disabled parking place. No empty space by the first door, so they moved ahead toward the second door. There was a Brinks armored truck in front of the second door where the disabled parking spots are located. It had probably come to pick up a bundle of money.
As Glenn and Marianne moved up to beside the truck, Glenn saw a man with a gun, pointing it at the Brinks truck, and their car was in between! At that moment, 3 sheriff's cars pulled up and Marianne was asked to move back. They readily did move back! They parked a distance away and went ahead into the store to do their grocery shopping. The Brinks truck was still under siege when they came out of the store 1 hour and 15 minutes later! Apparently the bad guys were inside the truck and not coming out! Lots of people with guns were around. There were 8 police/sheriff cars, and probably some unmarked vehicles, too.
Well, Glenn and Marianne loaded up their groceries and headed for home. Enough excitement for one day!
I haven't seen this posted on the Sacramento news channels yet, but will keep looking. I hope I got all the details right, or right enough! Thanks, Glenn, for sharing this adventure!

Sounds like something from a movie!
What a story. I am sure it will make the news. Glad Glenn was safe.
That's pretty crazy. I wonder how it played out.
